Conor McGregor last competed in the Octagon against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, in Las Vegas. Leading up to the fight, it was evident amongst fight fans that the two rival camps experienced an intense sense of animosity towards each other. Following the Artem Lobov slapping incident, Conor McGregor flew in from Ireland along with an entourage of men, to settle the score with Khabib.
Michael Chiesa, who unfortunately happened to be inside the bus, suffered from injuries that subsequently led him to withdraw from his UFC 223 fight. Chiesa sued McGregor in September, pressing charges against him for negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress, assault and battery.
The heart of the matter
Conor McGregor’s attorney, James M. Catterson, recently filed a motion to disregard the suit at the New York State Supreme Court. Catterson, however, did not ask for the claims of assault and battery to be lifted in the motion.

What’s next?
Michael Chiesa has expressed his grievances in regards to this case and has brought into the light, the toll this incident has taken on his family. He went on to confess that his family has been receiving nasty messages from fans of ‘The Notorious One’, which has caused an unrest within his closely knit circle.
