McGregor and Mayweather aren’t scheduled to fight each other, but if they were, McGregor says the clash wouldn’t last long.

“I don’t look at a man who’s expert in one area as a specialist,” McGregor told Esquire.“I look at him as a rookie in 10 other areas. If you can box, what happens if I grab hold of your legs? If you put me face-to-face with Floyd Mayweather-pound-for-pound boxing’s best — if I fought Floyd, I would kill him in less than 30 seconds. It would take me less than 30 seconds to wrap around him like a boa constrictor and strangle him.”

To be fair, it wouldn’t be a surprise if McGregor had the upper hand in a UFC match. Mayweather doesn’t participate in that sport. If the tables were reversed and McGregor fought Mayweather in a boxing match, Mayweather would be favored.

Mayweather is likely too busy focusing on his fight with Manny Pacquiao to make a response to McGregor’s comments. McGregor, who is Irish, is preparing for his own fight in July. He’ll face Jose Aldo for the featherweight title.
